Our Vision
My name is Firoj Kumar Samantaray.
I belong To Village Chandaka in the Khordha District of Odisha, My village is adjacent to the Chandaka forest. I am born and brought up in this village and I know the forest like the back of my hand, I love the forest and have grown up in the lap of nature. The Chandaka forest has inspired me to interpret nature, and know the animal behaviour, tribal life, and the birds and beasts, I have been a guide for the past 23 years.
At that time, way back in the year 2000, I Used to take local tourists for a visit to Chandaka forest without any formal remuneration. However with the support of the then DFO Shri Suresh Mishra Sir ( Now Retd.). I got an opportunity to get trained at the Indian Institute of Tourism & travel management in the year 2005, I then could guide people with a lot of confidence and insight, and in the year 2007 I become a state-level tourist guide after completing the mandatory training by the IITTM, Bhubaneswar.
From 2007 onwards I have been lucky to have got the opportunity to be a tour guide to all cultural and heritage sites of Odisha and to the tribal heartland and wildlife sanctuaries of the state, I take along many foreign tourists during my guiding journey. I have also been touring to Chhattisgarh, M.P, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. I am guiding many Indian and foreign tourists successfully for the past 15 years and my journey has been really fulfilling and exciting. It has taught me great values about our culture as well ecological heritage. Now it’s time to give back to society about what I have learned and experienced in my guiding journey.
My Vision
My Farm “ Chandaka Eco – Resorts “
I have a small farm near a forested area in Khordha District, it is being regularly raided by wild animals, that’s causing the loss of my agricultural produce and thus resulting in a loss of income. But, I have tried to convert this threat into an opportunity by an erecting solar fence around the farm, I intend to practice farm tourism on my farm, by training the local youth in nature interpretation and thus creating income generation activities for them.
This farm is nestled amid the lush green backdrops adjacent to a forested area.
I have tried to create eco-friendly habitats for tourists, artist, nature lovers, writers, bird watchers, trekkers, historians and students of culture studies, yogis and yoga professors, and also senior citizens who would want to have a few days away from the din and bustle of city life. This eco-resorts is a “ center for experiential learning “ Where we will hold trainings and camps in yoga and wellness training camps for nature guides, bird watchers, artists camps, nature camps for school and college students, corporates, performing artists, biologists, and researchers and writers too. Anyone who wishes to visit our place for training, camps, and wellness retreats is most welcome along with those families, couples, groups, and individuals who wish to experience nature and solitude.
Very near to the capital city of Odisha, i.e the temple city of Bhubaneswar,
Chandka Resorts is only 20 km from Bhubaneswar and well-connected to the airport of …km,
At ………distance, railway station ……….., by bus………..distance and at a distance from the historic and spiritual heritage town Puri and Jagannath Dham, Sun temple at Konark is also at a distance of …………km.
